Mr. Ali K. Marvi, P.E.

President, Sr. Principal Engineer

Mr. Marvi has owned and operated AKM since its inception in 1986 and serves as AKM’s President and Sr. Principal Engineer. Mr. Marvi is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming. Mr. Marvi also maintains affiliations with the following industry and technical organizations:

Mr. Marvi is an experienced Forensic Engineer in the fields of Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Cladding, and Moisture Migration. Mr. Marvi has designed repair plans for thousands of distressed structures caused by expansive/collapsible soil, moisture infiltration, inadequate design, etc. Some of Mr. Marvi’s extensive experience comprises the following:

  • Serving as an Expert Witness in hundreds of construction defect cases for both Plaintiff and Defendant, Mr. Marvi has provided his expert services at depositions, trials and arbitrations regarding distressed and/or failed structures for over 30 years
  • Acting as a neutral expert in dispute resolution process
  • Serving as an Arbitrator in construction defect cases
  • Analyzing and preparing repair recommendations for distressed structures
  • Providing residential structural engineering consulting and design services for thousands of structures throughout the Denver Metropolitan Area and Colorado for home builders, developers and private homeowners. Some of Mr. Marvi’s experience in these areas are:
    • Conducting subsurface investigations, soil testing, and preparing foundation recommendation reports
    • Designing foundation and framing plans
    • Performing groundwater studies and designing groundwater control systems
    • Performing engineering observations through various phases of construction

Mr. Marvi is an Appointed Forensic Engineer of Jefferson County Engineering Advisory Board in Jefferson County, Colorado.
